"When our son decided to be a goalie we looked at quite a few goalie schools for private, semi-private and team practice sessions. We chose "The Crease" for many reasons. The positive,respectful and supportive mentoring at "The Crease" has made our son look at the instructors there as part of his extended family. Through the years, the pace and content of the lessons has changed to accommodate our sons age, skill level and endurance. We liked the idea that they did not teach "one style" of goaltending but taught him a wide variety of techniques and when it was appropriate to use them in game situations. They are extremely flexible when it comes to accommodating us when conflicts arise between lessons and games or practices. March Break, Try-out and Christmas camps have all been organized and fun for the kids. THE CREASE GOALTENDING ACADEMY's Elite Training Centre is located in Canlan Ice Sports Etobicoke, beside Blue Rink #4, we own this facility and operate it ourselves for goalies only. This training centre features a 900-square foot rink on REAL ICE with regulation boards and glass, 2 goal creases and 2 nets making a feel of a mini rink. Added features TV and DVD recorder in the rink, so they can get immediate results, a puck machine for accurate and challenging shots, screen boards, mirrors on wall, seeing believing! Stereo and CD's to get goalies pumped and working hard. As we are located beside a rink, there is no need for air conditioning; therefore, goaltenders get the feel of the real thing!
Parents, guardians, spectators, coaches and scouts can also benefit from the training centre as they can watch all lessons behind the net in our seated viewing area or standing right on the glass.
We also have our own dressing room. Our dressing room area includes TV/VCR, Stereo, stalls and carpeted flooring, giving students a feeling of pro-dressing room. The walls are converted with pictures and memorabilia of past students and hockey greats' who have been to THE CREASE GOALTENDING ACADEMY or have been associated with us, including Martin Brodeur, Kevin Weeks, Jason Spezza, Don Cherry, Ray Emery, Keith and Wayne Premeau, Brian McGratton, Trevor Dailey, Sean Avery, John Tavares and many other great "NHL'ers".
